This island is very well-known for its characteristic and traditional Cycladic architecture, which can be found in the two main villages of Parikia and Naoussa. Both concentrate most activities of the island. Visitors can enjoy beautiful walks, the delicious local cuisine, an intense nightlife and most hotels, guest houses and holiday apartments are located here. Paros has beautiful beaches and is a preferred destination for windsurfing and kitesurfing, as well as for “island hoppers” due to regular boat connections with the other islands. A visit to the opposite, nearby island of Antiparos with its crystal clear waters and unique beauty should definitely not be missed.
Accessible by ferry boats from Athens Piraeus Port, some 3 hours, and by plane from Athens Airport, approximately 40 minutes.
